Choose Your Own BBG Chapter

I chose to read chapter 2 Narrative Genres of BBG in hopes that it will help me understand the small details of writing a narrative as I revise Project 1. I am now paying more attention to the rhetorical choices that I make. My paper now has a more clear purpose of telling a story about fostering puppies while also trying to persuade the reader to also foster/adopt a pet. Another factor is audience: the reader of this paper would be people who are interested in the animal fostering process. With that being said, I believe that I have included effective rhetorical appeals that would convince someone to follow through with his or her interest and get involved with fostering animals. An example of pathos in my project is the when I describe the harsh conditions that the dogs are brought to us in. I prove my credibility with my experience as a foster and include pictures of the dogs that I have cared for. The logos in my argument to join the animal saving process includes the emotional benefits that come with saving an innocent life. This chapter of BBG has really allowed me to go through Project 1 and check off the key points that I need for a narrative.
